The new TTArtisan 50mm F1.4 ASPH lens is fully manual and, according to TTArtisan, can be used with sensors up to 60 megapixels due to their high optical resolution. The optical design consists of ten elements in eight groups, including a low dispersion element and an aspherical element.

The lens is designed with a twelve aperture with an aperture range of f/1.4 to 16 and offers a minimum focusing distance of 50 cm. The new TTartisan 50mm uses a 49mm front filter thread.

As with recent TTArtisan lenses, it follows a design clearly inspired by the Leica brand, complete with white and yellow markings in a Leica-like font. The lens has a positioning aperture ring and the whole lens is quite compact. The lens is 68mm in length, 57mm in diameter and lists a weight of approximately 430g, with slight differences between the different bayonets.
