B.I.G. polarizing foil linear 30x30 cm

B.I.G. polarizing foil linear 30x30 cm is designed to remove unwanted reflections created on a shiny surface. It is placed in front of the light source, creating polarized light. Suitable for photographing minerals or glass. 

Recommendation: The polarizing film is not suitable as a replacement for the glass polarizing filter in front of the lens, as a rear or drop-in filter. 

With this neutral gray polarizing filter, you can solve many shooting problems. The film is suitable, for example, for removing reflections in reproduction exposures, for microscopy and for color effects, such as for minerals and transparent plastic objects. The film can be easily cut to the required size (the protective film must be removed before use). Usable up to 60 ° C. The thickness of the linear polarizing film is 0.21 mm.

Using a polarizing filter placed in front of the camera lens, ideal results can be achieved for monitoring smooth surfaces or surfaces that are greasy, oil or liquid stained. Linear polarizing foils thus find their application, for example, in production, where it is necessary to scan codes with a camera, machine-check products or otherwise process data from objects, and the product or packaging shines due to light sources. It can be used in production for color inspection, edge detection using morphological functions, color mark or code search, location of parts based on color, detection of surface defects, analysis of major defects of cracks, stains, trapped impurities, analysis of microdefects and texture defects, search objects, finding the position for checking parts within larger products, electronic components on printed circuit boards or checking during manual assembly of the product, finding out the presence and position of printing or labels, checking the location of the product in the machine eg in press or lathe before machining, checking the placement of products during palletizing due to the guidance of the packaging robot, detection of unwanted objects such as the presence of humans in the danger area, counting objects, whether counting particles of bulk materials, counting colonies of microorganisms on a petri dish for a variety of scientific and analytical purposes. It also finds application in measuring and checking tolerances from measuring dimensions and distances, measuring the level in bottles, determining shape deviations in the non-refilling of plastic during molding based on edge detection, 3D measurement (depth, 3D product profile) to sorting parts by size.

It is also possible to polarize the light source, when in combination with the second foil on the camera, reflections can be perfectly filtered.
