The MP80 is a macro-feed head that allows the user to make precise adjustments to the X and Y axes. In addition, it has the option of rotating around its entire center axis. It can be used for photographing panoramic images, where you can use the exact macro-shifts to find the exact nodal point and it will not be a problem to compose a panorama of the surrounding area, interiors, etc. Another application of the head is possible in macro photography, when thanks to its smaller range and compact size it is more practical than large and long sleds with micro-feed.
Benro MP80 are professional macro rails, providing lateral shift (X-axis) and front-rear shift (Y-axis) for precise camera movement. In addition, the entire system can rotate a full 360 ° on its own panoramic base and thus can also act as a panoramic head. The MP-80 comes with a special 105 mm long ArcaSwiss system compatible quick-release plate. The plate has a toothed axis at the bottom, which allows a smooth movement in the front-rear axis through a simple gearbox. You can use the head with any other ArcaSwiss system, but in this case you will only be able to continuously adjust the side adjustment and panning (without the anteroposterior adjustment).
The MP80 is equipped with five control pins. The pins for precise displacement are grooved steel without any additional rubber coating to increase accuracy during detailed adjustment. The locking pins already have a larger diameter and rubber coating, two are used to lock the X and Y axes and one to rotate around its axis (panoramic movement).
