- aperture ring complete with scale
- auto mode lock
- sealing against dust and moisture
- more powerful optical stabilization up to 3.5 EV
- new, slimmer design
The Fujinon XF10-24 f / 4 R OIS II lens is the second generation of the popular ultra-wide angle lens. The focus corresponds to the 35mm format in the range of 15-36 mm, which will appeal especially to landscape and architecture photographers. Constant lens aperture over the entire zoom range f / 4, allows you to shoot even in poor lighting conditions.
The optical system of the lens has been redesigned, the lens has also been sealed against moisture and dust, and the stabilization has also improved its value by a whole 1EV to a respectable 3.5 EV compared to its predecessor.
New shutter ring
The lens aperture ring now has a scale. The photographer thus has full control over the set aperture by simply looking at the lens. As with the previous model, it is not necessary to check the set aperture value by looking through the viewfinder or the camera screen.
Automatic mode with new lock
The iris ring can be switched to the auto mode in the extreme position, there it is now locked, the iris ring is locked. There is no risk of unintentional rotation of the shutter ring to another, undesirable value. Detaching from the auto position is easy, just press the lock button and turn the iris ring to the manual values of the lens iris.
Sealing against dust and moisture
The lens is newly sealed against dust and moisture. You can use the Fujinon XF 10-24 II already at temperatures from -10 ° C and in conditions where the weather is not exactly the most gentle.
More powerful optical stabilization
Optical stabilization has also been improved. Previous versions of the lens offered image stabilization values of up to 2.5 EV. The new second-generation lens is 1EV even more powerful, reaching 3.5EV. In addition, in combination with a stabilized body, such as the Fuji X-T4, this combination of 5-axis chip stabilization and lens image stabilizer offers a value of approximately 6.5EV!
New, slimmer design
The zoom ring and focus ring are slimmed by 2 and 3 mm compared to its predecessor. The lens now has a fresh, slim design.
The optical system of the lens consists of 14 members in 10 groups. 4 aspherical members are used in the system for min. spherical aberration, curvature and distortion. The other 4 elements with extremely low scatter ensure maximum image sharpness from edge to edge and reduce chromatic aberration to a minimum.
The front lens of the lens is specially coated to minimize shadows, which is common with such wide-angle lenses because they use more convex members than longer-focus lenses. In addition, a special layer on the lens increases the sharpness and brightness of the image.
The shortest focusing distance is just 24 cm, so you can take unique shots with great detail in the foreground of the image with an extremely wide angle in the background for the shortest focus.
