The tiny scale & light weight ideally suits mirrorless cameras and is ideal for gimbal use. The new iteration of the Cine comes with 0.8 mod standard gears on both aperture and focus rings. The latest 9 mm Laowa covers a sensor scale of up to Super 35. Despite providing a distortion-free field of view of 113 °, we've managed to compact the scale to its class minimum. The small size and lightweight make it incredibly flexible for various environments. Furthermore, a T2.9 wide aperture is extremely useful for filmmakers to shoot under low light conditions and to monitor field depth.

Including a pair of aspheric elements and three extra-low dispersion elements, the 13 elements are effectively managed to the minimum by spherical and chromatic aberrations in 9 groups of optical architecture. The overall bright T2.9 aperture is well suited for low-light working conditions. Focusing as close as 4.7′′ (12 cm) enables filmmakers to more flexibly design and monitor shallow field depth with a broader perspective.
