Light Connection

Thanks to two built-in Bluetooth and 2.4GHz modules, the NANLINK Box extends the control of lights operating at 2.4GHz via a mobile phone with the Nanlite app, which is connected to the WS-TB-1 via Bluetooth. Users of Nanlite and Nanlink lights can thus happily use this smart and practical communication device with the new app.

The product also has the advantage of compact dimensions of 107 x 73 x 45 mm, the possibility of attaching the device via 1/4" thread or belt clip.

Compatibility:

1. Newer models of Nanlite lights that have both WiFi and Bluetooth built-in can be controlled either directly from the mobile app (via Bluetooth) or via the Nanlink WS-TB1 transmitter. These models have Bluetooth built-in from the factory, but a firmware update is required to activate it. Please see below for more details on the update.

2. Older models of Nanlite lights that have a built-in WiFi module but do not have Bluetooth can only be controlled via the NANLINK app using the Nanlink WS-TB1 transmitter box. For these models, Bluetooth cannot be activated via a firmware update.

3. Models that have built-in Bluetooth can be controlled directly via the NANLINK app, but are not compatible with the Nanlink WS-TB1 transmitter. These also require a firmware update

Firmware Update:

• firmware will be released for each model in phases - the release schedule for each model is as follows.

Firmware update procedure for Pavotube X (15X / 30X / 60X):

• A USB-C key/flash drive formatted to FAT or FAT32 is required. In some cases, a combination of a regular USB-A stick and a USB-C reduction may work, but in this case it always depends on the reduction and may not always work. We recommend using a flash drive up to 32 GB in size (FAT/FAT32 limit). Keys with higher capacities may cause a problem when updating.
• Download the firmware file and save it to the USB-C holder - it is available on the manufacturer's website (link below). There should be no other files on the key besides the firmware. Do not change the firmware file name.

• Insert the US-C key into the slot on the tube when the tube is turned off, then turn it on.
• The screen will display "Found firmware V2.01.08".
• Press the "+" button to indicate the word "Update".
• Press the "MODE" button.
• The message "Updating..." will appear on the screen and the update will execute itself in a few moments.
