Nanlite Para 120 Quick-Open Softbox with Bowens Mount

The Para 120 quick-opening softbox with Bowens holder from Nanlite is ideal for portraits or fashion photography. It is a 16-sided shaping reflector that offers a soft, focused light output with a distinct and sharp edge that adds dimension and detail to the subject and naturally illuminates their eyes. The unique 73cm depth of the softbox ensures correct light direction without unnecessary accommodation. The parabolic softbox comes with 1 and 2 stage front diffusers that can be used together, one at a time or not at all to achieve different levels of contrast. A Bowens S-type spped ring is included, as well as a carry bag for storage and transport.

Light control and shaping

The reflective silver interior of the Para 120 maximizes light output, while the removable front diffuser softens it and reduces contrast. Also, the parabolic shape creates even lighting with wrap-around quality and natural-looking catchlights. Its 73cm depth produces a perfectly directed light with minimal scatter and significant glare.

More scattering options

Nanlite supplies the parabolic softbox with both 1 and 2 stage front diffusers to allow even more light dispersion. The softbox can also be used without these diffusers to give you more contrasting light.

Speedring Bowens

The Para 120 model has been designed to be compatible with Nanlite Forza LED lights and includes a Bowens speedring.

Quick fold and unfold

Nanlite Forza LED lights are ready in a flash, so their softbox should be too. This softbox uses a quick release ring with spring loaded rod locks. A quick snap of the rods sets up the softbox, then a push of a button releases and unfolds it.

Compatible with honeycomb

For additional control of light dispersion and increased directionality, the softbox can be supplemented with honeycombs via Velcro (supplied separately) The honeycombs narrow the beam angle to 60 degrees and concentrate the light beam forward.
