Special equipment for the Nissin MF18 flash

Unique Fine Macro mode

Revolutionary Fine Macro technology enables precise Unique Fine Macro mode for flash output from 1/128 to 1/1024 of full power (in 1/6 EV increments) for maximum lighting accuracy. When using the manual mode, the lighting can be set from full power to 1/64 of full power in 1/3 EV increments. This mode helps achieve consistent results when taking complicated pictures.

Flash lamp design

Tube lamps are used to achieve uniform illumination. The flash output can be set according to the lighting conditions independently for both sides of the flash.

Expandable flash head

The circular flash head can be adapted for use on lenses with a filter thread with a diameter of 49 to 82 mm. Extending the flash head eliminates the problem of vignetting and shaded edges when taking macro shots. The flash delivery includes reduction rings in diameters of 52, 58, 62, 67, 72 and 77 mm (reduction rings with a diameter of 49, 55 and 82 mm can be purchased separately).

TTL wireless mode

TTL wireless mode offers multifunctional flash remote control. The MF18 can be used as a Master Speedlight to control Group A and C * Slave Speedlights, including exposure compensation settings within ± 3 EV. This mode can be perfectly combined with Di866 Mark II / Di 622 Mark II and genuine Canon flashes for more lighting effects.

* In TTL wireless mode, Group C is used in Slave mode and flash exposure compensation can be set independently. The MF18 supports groups A and C in Slave mode only. For example, when using the Di622 Mark II, set the flash for Slave mode to wireless communication channel 1 and group A.
