Unique and only f / 2.8 all-in-one lens for SLRs. This model can achieve an aperture of f / 2.8 at its widest 28mm focus. However, it does not lag behind other outbreaks either. At a focus of 50 mm it achieves an aperture of f / 3.5, at 100 mm you get an aperture of f / 5. From 150 mm to 200 mm, you reach the aperture of f / 5.6.

Tamron began its series of full-frame SLR lenses with the most successful model in history, the 28-75mm f / 2.8 (Model A036). Since then, it has continued and maintained the standard of powerful, light and, most importantly, compact lenses.

This new zoom lens consists of 18 optical elements in 14 groups. These groups include unique optical elements such as GM (Glass Molded Aspherical), hybrid aspherical, XLD (eXtra Low Dispersion) and LD (Low Dispersion). These optics are folded to effectively prevent chromatic aberration and maintain high resolution from the center to the edges. The BBAR (Broad-Band Anti-Reflection) surface treatment minimizes incident shadows and glare.

Do you like taking pictures up close?
No problem. The 28-200mm f / 2.8-5.6 model provides a great experience when shooting subjects at short distances. At a focal length of 28 mm, the subject focuses on a minimum distance (MOD) of 19 cm with a magnification ratio of 1: 3.1. Together with the f / 2.8 combination, it leaves a large subject with a beautifully blurred background in the photos. With a telephoto focus, this lens can focus at an incredible 80 cm with a magnification ratio of 1: 3.8.

RXD stepper motor you won't hear
The AF drive contains a sensor that responds to the movement of the RXD motor. All this together guarantees very fast and accurate focusing with a great result when continuously focusing or when shooting video where filmmakers will appreciate very quiet focusing.
