This tripod collar replaces the Canon Tripod Mount Ring A II (W) and Canon Tripod Mount Ring A (W) models. It is made of high quality and lightweight alloy combined with felt on the inside to ensure smooth rotation and secure grip of the lens in the mount. The sleeve mounts to a standard 1/4 inch or 3/8 inch tripod thread. The lens mounted on the camera body can be freely rotated in the sleeve through 360° around the optical axis. The collar helps with better balance of equipment on a tripod and allows quick change between horizontal and vertical camera settings when shooting in landscape and portrait mode. A mark on the top of the sleeve makes it easy to center the lens precisely. The colour and textured finish matches the original.
