Tripod Collars

A tripod collar is a special accessory that is used to stabilize and mount camera lenses on a tripod. These rings are placed on the lens body and are used to secure the lens to the tripod head. The collars are usually made of strong materials such as aluminum or steel, and occasionally plastic, and are designed to provide sufficient stability and strength for shooting with long exposure times or handheld photography. The use of a tripod collar allows the camera system to be mounted with the lens in the centre of gravity which significantly prevents vibration, facilitates handling during image composition and ensures quality photographic output.
