B.I.G. Colour Control Chart

Fold-out color chart in double postcard size. On one half are the three additive and three subjective primary colors, on the other half three fields of low color saturation (skin color, leaf green, sky blue) and a supervisory gray wedge with 6 fields. Should not be missing as a refraction table in any photographic equipment.

INSTRUCTIONS 

This color test chart, made of high-quality photo cardboard, serves as a reference or for calibrating cameras, scanners, etc. 

Shown are the 3 primary colors red, green and blue as well as the 3 complementary colors cyan, magenta and yellow. In addition, pure white, pure black and their gray values are printed in various gradations. Particularly on the white field, the finest color casts can be seen. The color patches can be used as a comparison and make it easier to recognize which color cast is actually present. In addition, the sky blue, the leaf green or the skin color are also present. 

Photograph this color test chart after the camera has been white-balanced. If necessary, transfer the image to the computer and print it out. Now the camera display, the printed image and the monitor image can be compared with the original color test chart. This requires a calibrated and warm monitor. Please use a suitable light source (daylight) to view the color chart. Any deviations in color can usually be corrected directly in the camera menu, in the monitor menu or in the print settings. It is advisable to first calibrate the camera correctly, photograph a test image again and then adjust the monitor and the printer if necessary.
