Thanks to its reverse-folding design, the Hydra2 folds down to a respectable 42.4cm, with a maximum working height of 153cm with the centre column extended.Unique carbon fibre weave maximises the strength-to-weight ratio. Hydra 2 is a 5-section tripod with a maximum load capacity of 17kg. The metal twist locks can be used in any environment while maintaining maximum functionality. The locks are also dust resistant and more robust than normal so they are easy to work with even if you wear gloves.
The tripod allows you to adjust the legs at 3 angles, so you can get lower to the ground, or easily shoot on a slope or staircase.
The Dominant Center Post Controller makes it easy to secure the center post in any vertical position. The center column can also be removed, rotated 180° and photographed with the camera between the tripod legs. The hook at the end of the centre column can be used to hang weights, adding to the tripod's stability.

The tripod base is made of magnesium and features V-shaped cross struts, this provides the extra rigidity and stability of the core that is much needed for shooting with long lenses.
The base of the tripod has an integrated level, an eyelet for strap attachment and also a 3/8" thread with removable 1/4" reduction for attaching accessories such as monitor arms, microphones etc.

Thanks to the interchangeable rubber feet and stainless steel tips, you can use the tripod in any terrain.

Three Allen wrenches are built into the Hydra tripods. One, located in the rubber foot, is for adjusting the tension of the leg stop locks on the tripod base. The other two are on the weight hook, one for tightening the set screw on the flat head base and the other for removing the thread-blind screw on the accessory located on the tripod base.

The tripod comes with steel tips, a lightweight bag and a stylish shoulder strap bag.
