This transmitter is the successor of the RF-DD4 transmitter and uses a frequency of 2.4 GHz instead of a frequency of 433MHz. Therefore this transmitter cannot connect to the old RF-DD4 trigger set. This applies to both the transmitter and the receiver. This transmitter has 16 channels to pick up a signal and a wireless range of up to 100 meters.
