With 2.4GHz radio waves, the transmitter range is dimensioned even without the need for direct visibility between the transmitter and the receiver, as was the case with conventional IR control. 16 programmable channels allow many other devices to operate on the same frequency at the same time without the risk of interference. The synchronization speed can be max. 1 / 200s.

System Helios 2,4G and trigger description

The Helios 2.4G studio trigger sets operate at 2.4GHz and are primarily intended for studio use where photographers emphasize full manual lightning control and TTL transmission is undesirable in this case. All Helios 2.4G transmitters are the same and compatible with type 3, 4 and 5 receivers. Receiver is equipped with hot shoe system, allowing to attach flash right at the transmitter. The transmitter is powered by a 23A battery (included). All sets differ in receivers, which are adapted to the different specific use of each photographer.

Type 5 - Helios 2.4G Studio Light trigger AC Studio

A set with a receiver in which the AC adapter is integrated. The receiver also has a pass-through power supply for the lights through a standard IEC connector (PC power source connector)

The benefit is that everything is hidden in one receiver. Simple and fast solution.

Typ 4 - Helios 2,4G studio light trigger

Set with receiver powered by two classic AAA rechargeable batteries.

This installation is a common studio trigger solution, for studio flashes without the classic 5-edge IEC connector. 

Typ 3 - Helios 2,4G radio trigger

Set with centre contact receiver for firing studio flashes based on conventional external flashes, used in combination with the Magic Square softbox system, which allows you to quickly build an improvised studio on external flashes you would normally use. 

What is Magic Square Softbox Flash?

Magic Square Softbox is a softening conversion lens of larger sizes for evenly distributed light over a large area for standard external flashes. Soft light for portraits, product photography or even nude photography will become a reality when using this softbox designed for compact flashes. It slides into the adjustable hot shoe in the bracket on the back of the softbox and points into the prepared inlet. Now you can shoot without disturbing E-TTL ii or iTTL metering with extremely soft daylight. Due to the size of the softbox, the AF-assist illuminator cannot be used. The Magic Square softbox can be mounted on a light tripod (5/8 "pin) or B.I.G. grip with a flash arm. The flash cable (not included) allows the communication with the camera.
