The 'UX' receiver is intended for 1 or 2 compact flash units that can be triggered by a centre contact ('X'). An additional insert option in the receiver housing accommodates studio umbrellas (U = umbrella). The receiver can be mounted in a hot shoe or on the 1/4 inch screw of a tripod and the inclination can also be adjusted. The Helios flash trigger set 'UX' can be combined with the Helios radio trigger set 'X' and the radio trigger sets for studio flash units. The transmitters of all three sets are identical and can also be combined. They are triggered by the centre contact of the camera or - if there is no centre contact (e.g. medium format cameras) - can be connected to the flash socket of the camera with the enclosed flash cable. All parts can be set to four different channels.
