The fun factor when taking pictures and the look of Holga images are now also available for digital SLR cameras thanks to the Holga plastic lenses. 
These new Holga lenses are super light, look like products from the toy industry and come from the Far East. Discussions with other fanatical Holgagraphers lead to new perspectives on the ordinary. The plastic lenses break the sterility of the digital age and the one-sided urge for absolute image sharpness and they break the rays in all rainbow colours when backlit.
Of course, these products cannot be compared to optical top lenses, but nobody wants that either. On the contrary: photography with the Holga lenses is a different matter. This is not about absolute precision or maximum artificial perfection. If you prefer soft pictures with soft light fluxes, these lenses are fully recommended. The distance is set, of course without autofocus, via symbols for 70cm, 2m, 6m and 10m to infinity. 
The aperture is a simple, permanently installed pin aperture: aperture 8 the sun is smiling! Some freaks broke them out for higher light intensity and even more edge blur. So much fun for so little money, everyone can experiment.
