Additional functions and equipment

Four AA pencil batteries
The i60A is powered by four AA pencil batteries.

Metal socket - locking button
The rugged design of the metal base (except for the Sony version) with a locking button ensures easy attachment of the flash and reduces the risk of damage to the flash during installation.

Softbox - widescreen diffuser - reflective card
The illustrations below show the installed softbox, widescreen diffuser, and reflector card.

Softbox included
Softbox softens the flash light and suppresses shadows, it is suitable for brightening with a flash at short distances.

AF-assist illuminator
i60A is equipped with AF-assist illuminator *
* Fujifilm mirrorless cameras do not have an auxiliary light control function on the external flash. In low light conditions, they use the built-in AF-assist illuminator on the camera body (if they have one). This also applies to original Fuji flashes.

Slave mode
The i60A flash supports both the classic, optical, wireless TTL Slave mode and the 2.4 GHz TTL / M / Zoom radio NAS (in combination with the Air 1 control unit).
It allows you to use creative flash photography with multiple flash units from different directions.

There are 3 Slave modes:
1) SD Slave Digital - optical: for systems with metering pre-flashes. The Master flash is set to TTL (E-TTL for Canon cameras, i-TTL for Nikon cameras, and ADI / P-TTL for Sony cameras).
2) SF Slave Film - Optical: for traditional single-flash analog flash systems. The master flash is set to manual mode. This mode also supports studio flashes. The mode is also available for progressive flash illumination with the shutter open and for standard flashes on the market.
3) Wireless TTL mode - optical (* 4) and radio.
(* 4) Function not available for Fujifilm version.

Wireless TTL mode

The i60A flash supports:
1) Wireless optical mode Slave (Remote) TTL (* 3), (4 *).
2) Radio 2.4 GHz NAS Slave mode TTL, M, Zoom, HSS (* 4). In combination with the Air 1 control unit.
working channels: 1 - 8
groups: A - C

(* 3): Support for groups A - C (any channel 1-4 without resolution)
(* 4): Function is not available for Fujifilm version.

TTL FLASH EXPOSURE CORRECTION

Flash output can be adjusted by TTL flash exposure compensation. The camera's exposure compensation function affects the overall exposure of the image area. Flash exposure compensation adjusts the exposure for the main subject only, with minimal effect on the exposure of the background scene.
The flash output can be adjusted from −2 to 2 EV, in 1/3 EV increments.

Port for external services

The Nissin i60A flash supports the Power Pack and Nissin Power Pack PS 8 / PS300.

The i60A Four Thirts / Micro Four Thirts and Fujifilm use a Sony connector for an external source. There is available
on sale external power supply Nissin Power Pack PS8 version for Sony and a separate power supply cable N057 Sony.

Firmware Update

Concerned that your flash will no longer be compatible with the launch of new camera models? A firmware update service is available for Nissin Speedlights. The update cannot be performed by the user. There is a charge for this service.

Compatibility

The i60A is compatible with Canon, Nikon, Sony (MI socket), 4/3, Micro 4/3 and Fujifilm systems.
