Power supply for cameras compatible with Z or W series batteries
The multi adapter allows you to power cameras that use either the NP-FZ100 Z-series battery or the NP-FW50 W-series battery. By removing the adapter for the Z series battery (picture [A]), the AC adapter (picture [B]) is suitable for cameras compatible with W series batteries.
Fast charging of the NP-FZ100 battery
This battery adapter allows you to quickly charge up to four Z-series batteries via the AC adapter in approximately 480 minutes **. The state of charge of the battery is indicated on the three-stage control LED, after pressing the button for checking the "remaining battery capacity".
* NP-FW50 batteries cannot be charged with this adapter.
** When charging, the charge lamp turns off when 90% of the battery capacity is reached. If charging continues for another approximately 160 minutes (for four batteries), the battery level will reach "full charge", allowing for even longer use.
Select a power source or battery charge
The DC OUT / CHARGE switch located in the center of the control panel allows you to select either battery power or battery charging.
Flexibility for different adapter mountings
The battery adapter is equipped with three tripod threads on the top and bottom of the unit (a total of 6 threads), allowing flexible mounting of the adapter using a mounting plate and screws.
Equipped with two USB ports for external power
The Camera / USB switch allows you to switch between powering cameras or USB ports through which you can power other electronic devices powered through USB ports.
Make the Multi Adapter more compact
If you remove the battery cover and cover the contacts with the battery port covers and use only two batteries, the adapter becomes more compact. This is useful in situations where you need to compromise between the ease of the assembly and the increase in power performance.
AC adapter compatibility
The unit is compatible not only with the a9 camera but also with the a7, a7R, a7S, a7 II, a7R II, a7S II, a6000, a6300, a6500, a5000, a5100 and rx10 III, providing up to 8x the capacity of their current batteries. The adapter has 3 tripod threads for connection to a tripod or other video accessory.
